AVAILABLE FOR: Connecting charity donors with the right recipients

Donating to charity is something a lot of us always want to do, but are also unsure where and how to donate. Mumbai residents Diksha Shah and Kamya Gundecha seek to address exactly this concern, by acting as a bridge between the donor and the beneficiary, but with a personal touch. For example, earlier this year, they visited a cow stable in Uran and fed fresh bananas to new-born calves, after due research about what they are allowed to eat and what is healthiest for them. “We had donated to charity to celebrate our birthdays and wanted to do more of the same. Simultaneously, when we talked about our experience, others said they, too, wanted to contribute. We decided to collect whatever they wanted to donate and see how best it could be used,” says Shah. For them, everything must come with a personal touch.

RECOMMENDED BY: Parul Joshi, Kandivli. “I always wanted to donate effectively but it only became possible when I met Diksha through a common friend. I have been telling everyone about her ever since.”
