This Sunday, the Mental Talkies has organised yet another charming evening of poetry and prose at a Bandra bookstore. From Shrutee to Shivangee, this talented bunch will recite and narrate their art. The conveyance of a plethora of emotions may have you reaching out for the tissue box.

Mental Talkies is known for giving a stage to diverse artistes from across the city. Initiated in 2019 by Sabir Shaikh, it powered through the two years of COVID-19 online and was a great success. The platform believes in highlighting the identity of the artiste and promoting their work to the audience of the city.
Shaikh is happy about the progress made by the platform. “Back in 2019, there weren’t many platforms that encouraged poetry and its narration. The city deserves to see the talent it has and that motivated me to start the Mental Talkies.”

Get into a beer-y happy mode at this Oktoberfest carnival in Andheri
There is a multi-beer extravaganza in the suburbs that will bring a smile to the faces of most beer-lovers. Themed on Oktoberfest, patrons can sip on their favourite brews and play games while listening to artistes such as the Yellow Diary and Lifafa, all complemented by delicious food.
Oktoberfest’s origins can be traced to Munich, Germany; it began as early as 1810 to celebrate the marriage of the crown prince of Bavaria and is still celebrated every autumn. Spanning over two days, the Andheri festival will be a true celebration of the best food and drinks.
