Israel Missile Attack: Houthis attack Israel with Missiles
Hours after Israeli forces restarted their assault on Gaza, Houthis launched a missile attack on Israel. Houthis said that they have carried out a "qualitative military operation" targeting Israel with a hypersonic ballistic missile. The missile, identified as Palestine-2, was aimed at a military site south of Tel Aviv, according to Houthi spokesman Yahya Sarea. This marks their second such attack within 24 hours, with the group stating that they will continue their operations in solidarity with Palestinians. The Houthi spokesman said the attacks were a response to what he described as "the criminal Zionist enemy's massacres" in Gaza, as well as "American aggression" in the region.

In a televised statement on March 18, Houthi military spokesman Yahya Sarea alleged that the group launched a third attack on the USS Harry S. Truman in the Red Sea, though he provided no evidence. He also mentioned targeting a U.S. destroyer and warned that the Houthis would continue attacking U.S. and allied ships in the Red Sea and Arabian Sea until what they called "aggression" against Yemen stopped. Meanwhile, The U.S. has pledged to continue airstrikes against Houthi forces. President Donald Trump warned that America would use “overwhelming lethal force” if the attacks on shipping continue. Since November 2023, the Houthis have repeatedly targeted Israel and international shipping as part of their support for Palestinians during the Israel-Hamas conflict.
