“The quality of the candidates was exceptional and I would like to express my appreciation to the sub-committee of the board as well as my colleagues on the board who have brought this matter to a highly satisfactoryu00a0conclusion.”
It has been reported that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) did not want Lorgat to head Cricket South Africa. Lorgat, who was ICC’s chief executive for four years, reportedly rubbed the BCCI the wrong way over the Future Tours Programme, the DRS and an ICC independent governance review.
